Create a Roommate Profile

In order to view or create a profile in the Roommate section of this site, users must meet certain criteria. In addition, those with access must have an active profile to search for roommates.

If you have any questions regarding access to the Roommates section, contact our customer support team, and we'll be happy to assist you.

The Off-Campus Roommate Finder lets you filter by social and lifestyle habits, cleanliness, move-in timeline, and other preferences.

Only those who have already completed their own profiles will be able to view yours.

Follow the steps below to create a profile, and then you can share a bit about yourself and start connecting with others in search of a roommate(s).

To create your profile:

Contact Information

Note: Information entered in your roommate profile's "Contact" section is only visible to users who have completed their own roommate profiles.

Email

You will receive messages from other roommates who contact you directly via email and through the off-campus site. Your email address will remain hidden unless you decide to share it.

Phone

Including your phone number is also optional. To avoid displaying it, simply leave the Phone field empty.

Social Media

You can also choose to add your Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and Twitter profiles.

Already have a place?

If you have already secured a rental unit and are seeking roommates to share it with, you can create a property listing and link it to your roommate profile.

Keep in mind that while your roommate profile will remain private, your property listing will be visible to anyone browsing the Housing Search page (not just those with active roommate profiles).

Once your listing is completed and you've activated it, it will be marked as "Shared Housing" on the Housing Search page:

Activate Profile

When all sections of your profile are complete, select Save & Continue, and then Finish & Turn on.

You can change the status and make edits to your profile at any time by going to Account Settings > Edit My Roommate Profile.

Profile Duration

Roommate profiles expire after 30 days. When your profile is about to expire, you will receive an email notice with a link to renew for another 30 days.

You can also renew by changing the status from Inactive to Active under Account Settings > Edit My Roommate Profile:

To check when your account will expire, go to My Roommate Profile and look under your profile status drop-down at the top of the page.

Deactivate Your Profile

To turn your roommate profile off, sign in and go to Account Settings > Edit My Roommate Profile > Turn Off.

Delete Your Profile

If you think you might need to find off-campus roommates again in the future, we suggest deactivating your profile instead of deleting it. This way, you can simply update your existing profile and save yourself some time.

However, you may also delete it altogether by scrolling to the bottom of the side navigation menu under Roommate Profile Settings and selecting Delete Profile.

Please note that, once deleted, roommate profiles cannot be restored.
